It's really funny-when I started this blog, I thought that I would have absolutely *nothing* to write about.
It's the opposite. I go through the day and I think:
"Maybe I'll write about this, maybe I'll write about that". I get catatonic and then one of the kids decides to do some creative "house decorating" which usually gets me moving again although not necessarily writing.
Among the many topics that are in my head include the following:
How Szigeti thought that Joachim destroyed violin technique
The Practice Plan
The Shifting Chart
The Three Note Technique
The Open Strings Technique
etc.etc. etc.
And since I'm not a purist-
The antics of the children (well I guess I could write about practicing in front of the kids)
43 Things to do
Gratitude List
or
If you are going to make risotto make sure the wine and broth taste good before adding it-not after...
I guess blogs are like life: one can't possibly do everything-so I can't write about everything even practicing and pedagogy. But I can pick and choose. (Thinking about that golf ball analogy courtesy of Jen)
However I *do* like blogging...it's kind of a way to organize my thoughts. And just maybe I'll enjoy reading the blog in a few years....
